Bubblegum and Cheese is the creation of award winning radio broadcaster Alex Dyke.
The show first hit the air in 2007 and was quickly introduced to over twenty commercial stations across Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire, North East England, North West England, Central Scotland and the Isle of Wight.
Tens of thousands of people have enjoyed the live Bubblegum and Cheese experience at the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival, Bournemouth Air Festival and Cowes Week with live performances from Alvin Stardust, Doctor and the Medics, The Wurzels and T.Rextasy.
Bubblegum and Cheese came off the air temporarily in 2009 when Alex moved to the USA to present radio shows on ESPN Radio and took the Bubblegum and Cheese Roadshow out on tour around central Florida. It was a very big hit with British tourists and native Americans.
When Alex returned to Britain in March 2010 Bubblegum and Cheese was back on the radio within 3 days of his homecoming. The show is now bigger than ever before and can be heard across the South on BBC Radio Solent every Saturday morning from 11am – 2pm.
